Spirit Courts

There are many spirits within the Shadow of Great Britain, most of them belong to one or another of the dozens of Spirit Courts which lurk within and without. Some of these are Major Courts, which hold some sway (to some extent) through most of the Other of Great Britain. In addition to the handful of Major Courts each area has one or more Minor Courts, and there are other, smaller, Minor Courts which dance delicately through the intricate pattern of Shadow politics.

Most countries can be said to have their own individual souls, personalities that assert themselves in the form of powerful spiritual entities. What makes Britain unusual is that its long and complex history of strife, and cultural transformation has caused the land to develop over the centuries many souls, many spirits, each of whom personify the nation, the land and the age. As with so many of the spirits of Britain, their appearance reflects the people of the land, and, as time goes on, their appearance changes. In addition to these greatest of spirits there are others, some of the spirits of the great and ancient cities are powerful enough to reach beyond Jagglings. there are the Seven Whistlers, bird spirits who give good advice and are said to know the future if they can be approached correctly in order to share their wisdom. The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, a representation of the God Pan, has served in the past as Patron to werewolves and some believe he seeks to become more powerful by appealing to the outcast Ghost Wolves to form a ninth tribe. Reynard the Fox, a great cunning spirit whose Shadow den in Warwickshire is stuffed with lost and stolen goods of all sorts from the humans who intrigue the spirit so very much. The names and numbers fo the most potent of spirits have changed over the centuries but details of the greatest spirits of the country at this moment are below:
