The Bloody '69

The Soul-Eater; Devourer of the Self

In 1969 3 great spirits came to the UK and brought pain and terror with them – these were the Idigam. This is the tale of one of these three – the one known as Khan. This terrible creature wrought havoc throughout the Northern parts of England before seemingly settling down to nest in Wales. A great army of Uratha, with a veritable horde of spirit allies, attacked it and drove it towards the Midlands where an Ithaeur known as the Greyshadow had erected a trap to defeat it. He claimed to know its Bans and to be able to use that the bind it so that it could never again threaten the land and a pack was formed to fight in the final fight against it – each giving up their tribes to dedicate themselves to the Idigam. One of each Auspice sacrificed themselves to bind the Soul-eater into stone whilst the rest of the pack fought, and the creature was no more.

STORY

This is the most important story of the character, or at least the bare outline of it. This should be something which allows players to gather the basic outline of the tale allowing it to be remembered and told IC, that details will be different from telling to telling does not matter these tales are remembered and told in the oral tradition and often the pure truth is simply not known.

One version of the re-binding of the Soul-Eater can be read in Rebound in Birmingham.
