Greedy Beast Which Stalks the Alleys; Court of Teeth

The Greedy Beast appears as a tall, dark haired man with a slight moustache, wearing a black cowl across his eyes and head. He wears fitted, black clothing that appears somewhat frayed at the edges. On his left hip it wears a rapier, and his right hip a dagger.

During the early 16th century, highwaymen roamed the countryside. Giving cries of “Your money our your life!”, they haunted the crossroads. From this idea was born a lesser Gaffling of robbery and fear called the Greedy Beast. It haunted a lesser crossroad between Exeter and Bath. It grew to greater Gaffling, then lesser Jaggling by consuming its choir mates and the lesser spirits of communication who happened to travel by.

Unfortunately, by the time the 19th century had come around, the day of the highwaymen or 'road knight' had come to end. It was during this time that the Greedy Beast came under attack by a spirit of police. It chased the Greedy Beast across the countryside, harrowing it and trying to run it to ground. The Greedy Beast fled all the way to the edge of the city, and then finally into the heart of the city itself. Greedy Beast fled into the poorer parts of town before finally eluding the police spirit.

Finding itself alone in a new environment, low on Essence and Corpus, it began to do what it had always done. It began to haunt the alleys and dark roads of the poorer parts of the city, snatching lesser foot-pad Gafflings off the street, and carving out a territory for itself amongst the tenements. It eventually grew to the Rank of greater Jaggling, and was welcomed into the Court of Teeth. Now, it continues to stalk the alleys, emerging from the shadows to accost lesser spirits and consume them.

While the Greedy Stalker, as it is often referred to as, has become accustomed to its new home, it has not forgotten the spirit which nearly destroyed it. It holds a special hatred for spirits of law and justice, especially those of the police decant.
