Wolves on the Moor; Forsaken Weekender 2007

See some photos from the event here.

To the Tribes of the Moon the Moors and other few wild places are sacred and filled with the Predator Kings or worse things, the Hunters in Darkness especially would love to claim these places for themselves, but this cannot happen whilst the more numerous children of Dire Wolf stand together against their Forsaken cousins. Does that stand true for the wild moors of Devon and Cornwall? What of Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin - what horrors lurk there?

For long years the quiet and insular folk of the Moors have been mocked and despised for superstitious idiots by the educated folks of the cities for their beliefs - iron across a doorway keeps the fey folk out, spirits of waters need to be appeased by song during a fog when crossing a river, and a birth or blood moon means leaving meat for the wolves on the moor.

What these educated and civilised people don't realise is that the rural moorsfolk have the right of it - they don't leave a joint of meat out for fun, but to stop the Moors Wolves from taking their newborn. They know that there is a God, and they're certain that there is a Devil too - a long nosed devil with sharp teeth and a pack of demons.

Will things change when its not merely the newborn children of the moors folks who go missing? When its their own children, and their own blood? There is a threat lurking in the darkness - and its one which has no care for the People.

~Event Rules~

We have a great site and a lot of time, don't just describe what you're doing act it through as well. If you're going to sneak off and do something make the tests and then sneak off. If you're going to perform a Rite make the tests and then act it out. Don't tell me what you're doing, make me understand - lets put the 'Live Action' into things again!

Your character might be an arse, may be evil, you as a player aren't. Please be respectful of other players, crew and the general public - and especially of the site and staff of Murton Park. Also please act responsibily; don't freak the mundanes, and keep an eye out for the other people on site. Help each other OC, even if you're glaring at each other IC.

There will be large chunks of time where there is low plot/NPC interaction/action going on. Take and use this time to roleplay, to plan and plot, to get to know other characters. Bring instruments to play at night, or prepare a couple of IC stories to illustrate your pack, or your territory. Use the time at this event to help shape the feel of the UK game, and to build links to other places in the country, and across the world.
