Part 3: Description of Venue
THEME
Essex Forsaken deals with themes of isolationism, mistrust, betrayal, family loyalty, and, above all, responsibility.
MOOD
Conditions of Peace : Essex stands broken. A wasteland of nothingness and apathy that threatens to drown all who dwell there. In the harsh light of the day, in Essex even the grass is grey, and the sky never quite reaches a pure shade of blue. In the dark of the night, the lost and broken roam the cracked streets and muddied and barren tracks of farmland, searching for any small sensation that might alleviate their misery for even the shortest time. In this blasted land the Werewolves of Essex struggle to understand their responsibilities in a domain were no teachers will teach, and no elders stand to guide their paths. The young Uratha of Essex strive, seek and hope to find. But the question remains, in conditions of peace, will the warlike man not attack himself?
SETTING
Essex is a barren place. The newly arrived packs of Uratha are trying to eke out an existence and establish their presence in an empty and desolate domain. Mysteries abound – what has drawn them to this empty land, and what dark force eradicated their predecessors?
Essex is a worthless and desolate domain… but ripe for young and new packs desperate to establish themselves in the World of Darkness.
