Court of Malice

Also called the Court of Gossip, Court of Faces, Court of the Petty Word, Court of Rumour, Court of the Backward Blade, Court of Scandal and the Weathervane Court

One of the smallest, and yet oldest and most respected, spirit courts in the UK. The Court of Malice is comprised of an assortment of spirits, from those of Spite and Malice, to those of Information, Ideas, Gossip and Power. Certain Ancestor Spirits have also been either affiliated with or a part of, this Court.

There is no spirit court in the UK, or possibly throughout the world, which has not come under the fangs and poison of the Court of Malice and yet no Court has ever attempted to gain a measure of revenge upon the Gossips – though many individual spirits have. The reason for this is simple – the Court of Malice spreads information about all, and they are far too useful to those who study the murky politics of the Hisil – what is being said, or not said, can show much.

Some few Uratha, especially Elodoth of a certain more venerable age, have managed to come onto good terms with members of this court, and in one notable case was even given honorary membership within it!
