Cauterising Roses - Southern Regional 2007

The Uratha gathered in Bermondsey, to discover that a Wound in Battersea was becoming a huge problem, in that the old bindings were going to fail. This would of course become a big problem, beyond the scope of any one pack to cope with.
Our host said that there was a document that would assist in solving the problem, but that it meant going down to the sewers and negotiating with a trash spirit. The Ithaeur who was hosting said that he had a favour over the spirit that would allow access, but that was all – extracting the information required would be down to those going. It was worth it though, as the spirit could tell us where a document was that would greatly assist with the binding. A second party went off to try to find a “weapon not forged of this world”.
Wall of Stone (Blood Talon, Rahu), Iron Claw (Blood Talon, Rahu), Alex (Storm Lord, Elodoth) and various others went off to the sewers. After much hilarity involving several Uratha nearly drowning, and one pup earning himself the deed name of “Shit Swallower” the spirit was found. The host was mentioned and so the group was indeed heard, but the spirit said that it required chiminage before it would help. The Spirit wanted Gossip from other cities and Crypt (Boneshadow, Ithauer), a traveller from Edinburgh agreed to its terms.
The spirit told us that the document that we required was in a large house in a very posh area of London, this posed a problem in that all smelled of excrement and even if had the group been clean would not exactly have fitted into that area of London! A plan was discussed which had the possibilities of being quite subtle…that is until Dora (Storm Lord, Ithaeur) wandered off into the house and knocked on the door, activating a security set up which resulted in two men driving up in a van and asking her what she was doing etc. While this happened the document was stolen under the diversion, Dora was carted off in the van having said that she was going to be staying at the Hilton Hotel in Central London. The men drove off to check, so Alex made some calls and used her money to secure a room there so that Dora did not look suspect.
The rest of the squad reported back and the other squad told us that the “weapon not forged of this world” was made of a star! With this weapon and the information contained in the document, the Ithaeur were able to perhaps re-construct the bindings around the wound. Three Ithaeur led the bindings, all at separate points, and the rest of the People would guard and protect them from the spirits generated by the Wound.
Wall of Stone and Alex were assigned to Xenophon (Storm lord, Ithaeur) with four others of the people. As Wall of Stone was the physically strongest there, he gave a speech about maintaining squad coherency, not breaking off, if you are wounded pull back from the front lines, dead heroes are no use to anyone etc. This went badly wrong though as a few seconds after the binding commenced, he had a Gaffling land a lucky blow and nearly rip his entire guts out! He limped back and bravely continued to fight…the binding circle was finished and the wound was re-bound.
